    Exclamation Visitors --- be careful!!!

We all visit patients as a part of our social duties
But how can we make our visit safe for us and for the patients we care about?
    Don’t take children with you
Hospital environment is a hostile one and your children is at higher risk to acquire infection and suffer more than adults
Pregnant women please be careful don’t visit nursery room or neonatal intensive care unit
Pregnant women especially in early months of pregnancy have the risk to catch Measles, German measles (rubella) and cytomegalovirus (CMV) while the baby you are visiting is asymptomatic or not yet diagnosed
    People with weak immune system
Be careful you may catch infection while your immune system is compromised and remember hospital strains are virulent and mostly antibiotic resistance
Number of visitors is sometimes critical
When your patient is in ICU, please remember that it is not allowed for large number of visitors to enter
Besides you may carry germs harmful to the weak patient you care about
When you are not feeling well please stay home
You may be in the incubation period of one the communicable disease and you will add to your beloved patient a new suffering
Individuals with cough ,sneezing, sorethroat ,fever or diahrea should stay home and refrain from visiting friends and loved ones in the hospital
If you have contact with patient suffering from contagious diseases in the past two weeks , stay home
For example you are a mother one of your children has recent measles so please don’t go to visit a hospital and spread measles you may carry to other poor neonates and children

    Please follow the rules
    • When you asked to wear gown before entering NICU(neonatal intensive care unit )
    • When you asked to put on a mask
    Don’t forget to
Clean hands when entering and exiting patient's room.
Avoid contact with dressings, tubes, bed sheets and other items the patient may touch.
Do not go into the rooms of other patients. (don’t be the vehicle that germs use from patient to another )
Avoid the cafeteria or restaurant where the staff visit while in their uniforms. The germ can be picked up just by sitting in a booth where someone has been wearing his scrubs that may be covered with the germs you may simply bring them home to your beloved kids.
